Meet Our Founder: Marcia Barahona

Marcia Barahona is an executive leadership strategist, executive coach, educator, and business advisor with more than 20 years of experience helping leaders and organizations strengthen performance, drive transformation, and lead effectively in complex and multicultural environments.

As Founder and CEO of ExecBloom, Marcia partners with senior executives, emerging leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizational teams to enhance leadership capability, executive presence, communication effectiveness, emotional intelligence, and organizational alignment. Her work focuses on helping leaders navigate growth, change, team dynamics, and strategic decision-making while building resilient and high-performing cultures.

Marcia brings a unique combination of executive coaching expertise and corporate leadership experience across industries including technology, SaaS, telecommunications, medical devices, education, consumer electronics, renewable energy, and media. Throughout her career, she has led strategic marketing, communications, and multicultural engagement initiatives for organizations ranging from startups to established global brands. She has led projects and initiatives throughout the Americas, Europe, and Africa, bringing a global perspective and deep cultural intelligence to her work with leaders and organizations.

Prior to founding ExecBloom, Marcia held leadership roles focused on strategic marketing, brand positioning, communications, and business development. She is also the Founder of OrangeRio Cross-Cultural Marketing Agency, where she has advised companies on multicultural strategy, customer engagement, and market expansion initiatives throughout international markets.

In addition to her consulting and coaching practice, Marcia serves as an MBA Adjunct Professor and Executive Education instructor at Dominican University of California, where she teaches leadership and business-related topics to graduate students and professional leaders.

Marcia is recognized for her ability to combine strategic thinking with a highly relational leadership approach. Her coaching methodology emphasizes self-awareness, accountability, adaptability, and culturally intelligent leadership — enabling executives and teams to achieve measurable growth while strengthening organizational effectiveness.

She currently serves as:

Her previous leadership experience includes seven years of service as a Trustee of Dominican University of California, along with board leadership roles across nonprofit, educational, and community organizations focused on innovation, education, economic development, and multicultural advancement.

Earlier in her career, Marcia spent a decade in bilingual radio, television, and print media, strengthening her expertise in communication, storytelling, public engagement, and multicultural connection — skills that continue to shape her leadership and coaching philosophy today.

Marcia holds an MBA and BA from Dominican University of California, completed studies in Sustainable Business Development at ESCEM Business School in France, and holds dual certifications in Executive Coaching and Leadership Coaching through the ICF-recognized Symbiosis Coaching International Program.

Her work is grounded in the belief that exceptional leadership requires strategic vision, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and the ability to inspire meaningful human connection across organizations and communities.
